Dr. Daniel Guzman addresses the logistics of a pediatric transport system and Cook Children's performance utilizing case histories to illustrate interesting and challenging events.

 Learner Objectives:

  • Describe pediatric transport systems in terms of equipment, geography, population served, traffic and weather patterns
  • Discuss Cook Children's relative performance to its peers on parameters such as average severity of illness, average per-patient utilization of transport and system medical resources, cost/benefit ratio, etc.
