Overview:
Kathy Eckstein from the Children’s Hospital Association of Texas (CHAT) will discuss how the Affordable Care Act will affect healthcare in Texas.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify insurance market reforms, as well as individual mandate and employer requirements, included in the Affordable Care Act.
  • Describe insurance coverage and subsidies available through the federal Marketplace and current participation by providers and Texas residents.
  • Review the impact of the Affordable Care Act on Medicaid and CHIP in Texas.
