|Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course|
|This two-day course includes a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide nurses with the knowledge base needed to safely care for children and adolescents receiving chemotherapy. Participants must bring a copy of their RN license number.|
Following course attendance and successful completion of exam, participants receive a APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card from APHON.
- Identify principles of chemotherapy and biotherapy
- Recognize toxicities of common chemotherapy and biotherapy agents and nursing interventions to manage symptoms
- Outline steps required to safely administer chemotherapy agents to children and adolescents
- Describe late effects of cancer treatment
